Barrie commenced his dance and drama training with the Oldham Theatre Workshop at a very young age. He completed a three year Performing Arts Degree in Acting and Musical Theatre , before attaining his Honours Degree at the University of Hertfordshire.
His early work took him to New York where he performed in Rep Theatre, playing in two French farces, Zero and Joined at The Hip, and various English comedies.
He also directed John Godber’s ‘Teechers’, touring schools & colleges in New York to great acclaim.
Barrie is also an accomplished trained dancer/choreographer and has worked on many corporate events and various pop videos and also works as a session Vocalist

Riff Raff in ‘The Rocky Horror Show’; Larry in ‘A Chorus Line’; Genie Of The Lamp/PC Pong in ‘Aladdin’; Salty in ‘Teechers’; Prince Charming in ‘Cinderella’; The Priest in ‘Enchanted’; Freddy in ‘The Magic Nutcracker’.

Barrie has appeared in “Peter Kay’s Britain’s Got Pop Talent”, “Grange Hill”, “Sing When You’re Winning Commercial”, “Empire Direct Commercial” and a new film in the New Year based on the Street Opera 24/7.
