Murder One is able to offer unique Murder Mystery Events, tailored for students in years 6 to 13 which focus on communication, problems solving and teambuilding skills.
These events are also perfect for Enrichment Opportunities and Induction Days, Transition Activities, etc.
In the past we have also been chosen by schools to enhance and complement the teaching of “Speaking & Listening” (and the old ‘personal and thinking skills’) units and by Business and Enterprise establishments to encourage and develop key skills including problem solving and decision making.
Participants will be called upon to adapt their behaviour to suit different situations and to collaborate with their team to advance their enquiries. The students form juries where they try to influence others or balance diverse views as to who is guilty, and reach their verdicts. Each team evaluates the evidence at its own pace, regularly regrouping to discuss its findings and decide how best to proceed
Presentation skills are also called upon at the end of the event as teams sum up their case to the other groups before all is revealed. Students will gain confidence in their communication skills with a view to functioning more effectively within their peer groups and the school.
Murder One also offer these unique Murder Mystery Days as a Transition Activity enabling pupils to get to see their new High School, make new friends and meet staff as they work together to solve a murder at their new school! This fun, exciting and educational experience will help build valuable confidence, communication and social skills as well as developing independent learning.
These events are available all year round and include 8 professional actors who have vast experience in T.I.E. and/or teaching work. They usually last a full day, but can be half days if required, taking place in one large hall or gym. The Murder Mystery is totally interactive with maximum participants of 140.
Murder One were established in 1987 and have performed throughout the UK and abroad, and have been featured on CNN. For more general info, including events for adults, please see www.murder-one.com

It was great. From the moment you and your company arrived I was impressed with your focus and commitment. The murder mystery was fabulous, sensationally delivered and the students got a lot out of it: team work, investigative skills and fun. We will definitely be booking you again for next year.
